Box Sets 5068107000 Editorial Review
The Avatar Extended Collector's Edition Blu-ray has garnered mixed reviews from customers. Many are impressed with the phenomenal release, praising the superior extended cut and phenomenal picture quality on the 4K disc. Customers express delight with the upgraded 3D version and find the packaging and presentation to be satisfactory. Additionally, the inclusion of Dolby Vision and Atmos is appreciated, and many are looking forward to the upcoming sequel. On the other hand, some customers express concerns about the 4K presentation, citing choppy bit rates and occasional picture judder. The fully CGI sections are described as having weird artifacts, while live action shots are criticized for being soft-focused and unnaturally sharpened. These issues lead some to feel that the 4K release is not a significant upgrade from the Blu-ray version, with some even finding it to be a forgettable experience.
