Logitech G Gaming Keyboards G512 Carbon Gx Brown Editorial Review
**Editorial Review of the Logitech G512 RGB Backlit Mechanical Gaming Keyboard** The Logitech G512 RGB Backlit Mechanical Gaming Keyboard has garnered a largely positive reception from users, many of whom have upgraded from previous Logitech models. Notably, customers appreciate the G512's high-quality Construction featuring an aircraft-grade brushed aluminum design, providing both durability and aesthetic appeal. Users transitioning from models like the G413 report significant improvements in feel and responsiveness due to the Romer-G Tactile key switches, which are Consistently described as both comfortable for typing and satisfying for gaming. Among its praised features are the customizable RGB lighting and programmable keys, which allow users to tailor their keyboard experience to their individual preferences. The software accompanying the keyboard receives mixed reviews but is generally regarded as effective for setting up RGB profiles across multiple devices. Practical elements, such as the additional USB port, enhance its functionality, making it a desirable choice for various applications including gaming and productivity tasks like Blender. Despite the overwhelmingly positive feedback, some issues have been raised. Users note that the symbols on the number keycaps and certain special characters aren’t illuminated, which can affect visibility in low light conditions. Additionally, there have been reports of keycap wear with frequent use, a concern for individuals who heavily engage in gaming. Furthermore, the G512's ability to generate impressive lighting effects may not be as pronounced in brightly lit environments. Overall, reviewers highlight the G512 as an excellent option for gamers and typists alike who are looking for a robust, feature-rich mechanical keyboard with a solid tactile experience. **
