Can you use full size mugs with this?

A normal height mug would not fit under the portafilter, however both 2 cappuccino glasses and 2 smaller espresso glasses are included in the set.

Stopped frothing. Once milk compartment removed, milk is dripping out the hole. Any suggestions?

It sounds like the steam tube is blocked. Milk residue can build up in the tube, but this can easily be resolved by cleaning it out. Please get in touch with our Customer Service so that we can provide further advice.

Is the milk reservoir removable to put in the fridge?

Yes, you can put it into the fridge, but we noticed the milk thickens up and will block the pipes inside the frother. It needs to be cleaned out regularly.

How long can you store the ground coffee beans? Or do you need to use them straight away?

Once you open your beans, you should store them in an airtight container and, preferably, refrigerate them. The same goes for the ground beans. They will start to lose their aroma as soon as they are exposed to the air. I wouldn't leave them more than a week after grinding.

After doing espresso/latte, coffee is still dripping as the coffee in the portafilter is still wet. Shouldn't it be dry after using it?

Are you putting the right coffee in? If it is too fine, it stays wet in the portafilter. It should drain through totally, leaving only coffee grains. Make sure the coffee is not too fine.

How do you clean the milk tube? What size tube cleaner would I need and can the tube be detached for cleaning?

Yes, you can detach the tube from the milk tank - both the plastic tube on the inside and the metal tube which dispenses the milk. You can use a standard pipe cleaner to clean it.

Do I need to buy filters for this machine?

No, it is not a filter machine. It comes with its own espresso portafilter and handle with a choice of single or double shot baskets.

How do I make a flat white with this?

A flat white is a short latte - a double shot of espresso with steamed milk and little foam. You can make this by making your espresso and then adjusting the dial on the milk setting towards 'milk' and away from 'cappuccino'. You can also program the settings on your machine to adjust the amount of espresso and milk dispensed when you press a programmed button.

Used machine for 5 months and it stopped working. Red light flashes and it makes a beeping noise. It looks like portafilter gets clogged. What should I do?

How does it deal with soya milk? I know that the film on this milk when boiling can go hard and stick hard to utensils.

I would recommend using oat milk instead of soya. Soy milk can be temperamental and cause issues. Oat milk reacts similarly to semi-skimmed milk and is more nutritional and sustainable. In terms of the machine itself, I am very happy with it. However, cleaning it may be a bit of a pain. I would recommend.
