Powertex transparent fabric stiffener is a great product for textile sculpture. It is water-soluble, non-toxic, and biodegradable. It dries crystal clear and leaves every fabric detail visible. While it may feel slightly rough to the touch, a light sanding can easily smooth it out. It is slightly more expensive than other similar products, but a little goes a long way.
