Cyanotype is a mid-1800's photographic process invented by Sir John Herschel that is now used as an everyday art material for all ages. Our paper is made with 100% natural fiber and is pre-coated to create a sun-sensitive printable surface.
This paper pack of 12 sheets offers a mixed pack of colors including white, violet, green, blue, yellow, and red. Creating a Cyanotype print is easy and fun. Choose a design or object you want to print, such as ferns, flowers, photographic negatives, designs printed on transparency film, or found objects like lace and beach glass. Simply lay the design on the pre-coated Cyanotype paper, place it in the sun or under a UV lamp for 10-15 minutes, rinse the exposed paper in water for 5 minutes, and voila! You will have a stunning Prussian Blue color around the design area. Our Cyanotype paper is made in the USA and is non-toxic, making it an ideal art material for all ages.
It's also environmentally safe and easy to teach and is considered a fine art material because it's archival. The paper is 100lb weight-heavy, durable for repeated rinsing, and no darkroom is needed.
