It works effectively even in larger spaces, such as a living room located 30 feet away from the unit. The machine has a good track record of consistently keeping the humidity level low. However, there have been some complaints about units shutting off unexpectedly and the disappointment of finding out that it is made in China despite expecting a German manufacturer based on the brand name.
