Detalles de producto
- Tulsa thought she had escaped the darkness of her past. After retiring from nearly 20 years as a Prison Guard and Parole Agent, she was ready to rebuild her life; leaving behind the stress and pain. Battling depression and seeking a new purpose, she found a glimmer of hope in Alma, a sweet and seductive woman, who seemed like Tulsa's dream come true. Life was finally looking up-until Marissa Dingus entered the picture.Marissa, desperate and claiming to have cancer with nowhere to go, tugs on Tulsa's kind heart. Out of compassion, Tulsa invites Marissa to stay, unknowingly welcoming a nightmare into her home. What begins as an act of charity soon spirals into a twisted web of deceit, manipulation and obsession.Marissa, determined to have Tulsa in her control, embarks on a campaign of psychological and physical warfare- isolating Tulsa from her loved ones, sabotaging her life and even orchestrating a near fatal car accident. As Tulsa's world unravels, she finds herself trapped in a living hell, drugged and sexually abused, unable to fully comprehend the depths of Marissa's treachery. Her once promising future with Alma hangs in the balance as Tulsa struggles to survive the torment inflicted by a woman who will stop at nothing to get what she wants. She Lied is a raw and disturbing cautionary tale of female con artists and the horrors of woman-on-woman sexual abuse. This intense and explicit narrative explores the psychological toll of manipulation, obsession and betrayal, leaving readers questioning how far one person will go to destroy another. Will Tulsa find a way to escape, or will Marissa's twisted game end in tragedy?
