The Imperial Berkey Gravity-Fed Stainless Steel Countertop Water Filter System is a highly recommended water filtration system. It is a countertop model that works by filtering water from the top portion into the lower portion. The system has a 4.5-gallon capacity and is made in the USA. Independent lab tests have confirmed its great filtering ability. The black Berkey filters have a service life of 3000 gallons, giving the Berkey an advantage in terms of total cost of ownership. The filters last significantly longer and cost less compared to other systems. The water takes some time to filter, but the quality is excellent, tasteless, and odorless. It does not remove calcium but is NSF certified. The system is easy to set up and use, but some customers have reported issues with the handle on the filter lid and leaking spigot. Overall, it is a valuable survival item and provides clean, fresh-tasting water.
