The Cort B-001-1701-0 Electric Guitar is a solid body guitar that comes in an open pore black finish. It has 24 frets and features an HH pickup selection. The neck of this guitar is comfortable to play and the higher fret access is amazing. This guitar is perfect for heavy metal tones, but its versatility is limited for clean tones. The bridge of this guitar is amazing for the price and has a good tone for high gain effects. The clean tone, however, was not satisfactory. The neck pickup, on the other hand, sounded muddy while using high gain effects. The pots of the guitar produce too much noise, which can be a hindrance to some players. The bridge of the guitar is decent and needs tuning quite often when playing for extended periods. In terms of packaging, the guitar comes in a thin cardboard box along with a gig bag, which is not sufficient for the proper protection of the instrument during transit. Overall, the Cort B-001-1701-0 Electric Guitar is recommended for heavy metal players who are looking for a guitar with a comfortable neck and amazing high fret access. However, the guitar lacks versatility for clean tones, has too much noise from the pots and the packaging needs more reinforcement for proper transit.
