The JANSANE SCT-013-030 is a non-invasive AC current sensor split-core current transformer that is used to measure AC current. It is easy to use with a split-core design that allows the transformer to enclose a wire without disconnecting it to be threaded through the core. It is not suitable for measuring DC current and requires a burden resistor for installation. The product works well when used with recommended devices like the ADS1015/1115. It comes with a long enough cable and a sturdy connector. Customers have reported using it to determine the energy usage of their laundry machine and clothes dryer. Calibration is required for more accurate measurements. However, some customers have received counterfeit products that have an almost identical logo to YHDC sensors, contain an 82 Ohm resistor instead of the standard 62 Ohm resistor, and have more windings than reported. The readings from these counterfeit products are significantly lower than those of the original product.
