The watch is made of metal and transparent plastic, and does not tarnish. The cover can be removed but holds a pin inside that may be difficult to maneuver. It keeps accurate time with a quartz movement, and the battery is included. The chain it comes with is not suited for a vest, but an easy fix. Not intended to impress someone, but great for the price.
