The Dwyer Current Switch, CCS-221100, is a well-designed and quality made product that gives a fixed setpoint of 1.0 Amps. It is a dry contact switch that comes in a split core and offers an amperage range of 1.5 to 200A. The inside diameter when closed is 7/8 x 7/8 inches. It is easy to install, and the price is quite reasonable when compared to other products available in the market. The product has found a place in many industries, like woodshops, where it is being used to detect power flow. The switch automatically turns the dust collection system on when power is detected. It has also found use in detecting when sump comes on. In a similar manner, it is being used for dryer booster fans to turn them on when the dryer draws power.
