That's where the Salifert Silicate Test Kit comes in handy. What sets this test kit apart is its speed, sensitivity, and accuracy. With two scales - an ultra-low scale for marine water and a high scale for freshwater environments - this kit provides precise results every time.
Each kit includes enough reagents for 60 tests, ensuring you can monitor your water quality over an extended period. Not only is this test kit suitable for marine, freshwater, and garden pond water, but it is also easy to use. Simply add 10ml of water (1ml for low resolution mode) to the test vial using the included syringe.
Add the appropriate number of drops of Si-1 and Si-2 reagents, followed by a scoop of Si-3 reagent. After gentle swirling, let it stand for a few minutes before comparing the colors to the provided color chart. Please note that high carbonate hardness (above 20dKH or alkalinity of 7meq/l) may affect the accuracy of the results.
Additionally, it is important to keep this kit out of reach of children and avoid contact with skin and eyes. If contact occurs, rinse with plenty of water and seek medical attention if necessary.
