The Lewitt 441 Flex microphone is a pressure gradient condenser microphone that offers a range of polar patterns including Cardioid, Wide Cardioid, Supercardioid, Reverse Cardioid/Wide Cardioid/Supercardioid, Omnidirectional, and Figure-8. It has a 1" diaphragm size, a maximum SPL of 144dB SPL (0.5% THD), and an output impedance of 54 ohms. The mic requires 48V phantom power and comes with a shockmount, pop filter, windscreen, and carry bag. The mic was praised for its clear, true sound for vocals and its great drum overheads and room mics. The mic was compared to the original AKG C414-XLS, but was deemed better and less expensive. Reviewers liked the flexibility this mic offers with its multipattern capability. Users were pleased with the polar pattern switching that worked with two clicking switches to rotate clockwise or counterclockwise. According to a reviewer, the polar patterns are plentiful and include multiple options, including cardioid patterns on BOTH sides of the mic. The microphone was noted to be a great value for the money, even when compared to mics over $2000.
