The Tilley Classic T3 hat is well-made and stylish, with a snap-up brim for good coverage and a low crown that fits snugly without catching too much wind. The weight of the fabric gives it durability, and it is flexible and great for packing. The hat includes breathable holes on each side of the crown but has no screen, so insects could be an issue. The adjustable security strap keeps it on in wind and water. However, some reviewers noted that the quality has decreased as the material is now simply canvas and that the actual color may differ from the images shown on Amazon. Moreover, the hat is rather large, and the brim hits the back. Lastly, some reviewers were disappointed with the unevenly placed rivet vents or the cheap-looking cloth tab.
