The machine requires the use of glue strips, which are activated by the heat from the machine. Thermal binding covers come pre-applied with glue strips, but if you want to print your own covers, you will need to purchase the strips separately. The machine can bind thin covers and approximately 15 sheets of 20lb bond paper. However, some customers have reported issues with the machine. One customer complained that the machine stopped heating up after one use, and another customer found that the machine arrived without instructions or any information.
