StartSmart Complete Freshwater is a great product for every water change and for starting a new aquarium. It clears up the water making the fish look like they're floating in air. It is recommended by an aquarium veteran of forty years. StartSmart Complete Freshwater is also effective at reducing high nitrates and avoiding algae build-up. However, it is not advisable to use StartSmart Complete Freshwater to cycle a tank from scratch as it takes time for the bacteria to establish itself. Maintenance doses are always recommended along with regular water changes to keep the tank clean and healthy.
