The lighter shade is the color when fired onto bisque before being glazed, and the brighter darker shade is after a clear glaze is applied and fired again, as indicated in the product photo. While the underglaze is safe on both clay bodies, it is essential to use a clear glaze that matches the clay body to avoid pitting or missing glaze, crazing, or lack-luster performance. However, some customers have raised concerns about the product's Consistency, with reports of unmixable chunks and thickness.
