The August Smart Lock, 3rd Generation, is a reliable and convenient lock that can be remotely accessed via smartphone app, codes on the keypad, or voice-activated using Alexa. It doesn't require a hub for basic unlocking with Bluetooth, but the WiFi Bridge is needed for remote notifications and unlocking. The lock also has geofencing features, but it will not auto-unlock if you step outside the house. There are concerns about privacy, battery life, and the quality of the product on both the app and hardware sides.
