The HONSHU Boshin Practice Grosse Messer Sword is a durable practice sword made of heavy polypropylene Construction. It is intricately detailed and has a textured grip for a comfortable security during use. According to the FAQs, it cannot be unscrewed, the blade is made of polypropylene, and it is tough and approximates the weight of a live blade. However, it is not as accurate as a practice weapon and is very heavy, not really balanced due to it all being the same plastic. The balance point is just short of the hilt, and it weighs about 2lbs. Overall, it is a sturdy and visually appealing practice sword that matches the size of a regular sword without the danger of injuring oneself during practice.
