About This Item

The pinwheel has a magnet attached to it, while a hall effect magnetic sensor on the other side of the plastic tube counts the number of spins the pinwheel makes. One of the greatest advantages of this sensor is its ability to stay safe and dry, thanks to its clever design. The sensor is equipped with a JST PH 2mm pitch connector and comes with three wires: red for 5-15VDC input, black for ground, and yellow for the hall effect pulse output. By simply counting the pulses from the output of the sensor, you can easily track fluid movement, with each pulse representing approximately 2.25 milliliters. Please note that this is not a precision sensor and the pulse rate may vary slightly depending on the flow rate, fluid pressure, and sensor orientation.
It is specifically designed for a flow rate range of 1 to 30 Liters per minute. If you require better than 10% precision, careful calibration is recommended. However, for basic measurement tasks, this sensor is an excellent choice. In terms of technical specifications, the Clear Turbine Water Flow Sensor features 22AWG cables and operates on a working voltage of DC 5V to 15V.
It has a current draw of 15mA (at DC 5V) and a flow pulse frequency formula of (5.0*Q) ±3%, where Q represents the flow rate in Liters per minute.
