This milk crate is made of poly plastic, and is smaller than a "real" milk crate but sturdy. The height outside is 11" and inside is 10.5", with dimensions of 12" square inside. It is not recommended to use as a ladder or step stool as it is not rated for weight. This product is sold in pairs but this is not mentioned anywhere in the product description. In terms of customer reception, some Consumers found it smaller than expected and impractical for holding vinyl records. However, others found it ideal for storing papers and folders, as well as holding propane tanks for camping. In some cases, the milk crate was received used and with a faint smell of cigarette smoke. Overall, most reviewers found the product sturdy and fit for purpose.
