About This Item
Introducing the 5oz Aerosol Can in Candy Black by Kustom Canz - your ticket to achieving the ultimate custom finish. With over 20 years of experience, Custom Paints Inc brings you Kustom Canz, a trusted name in automotive and custom paints. The Candy Black color from the Candy collection is meant to be applied over any color Base Metallic coat, allowing you to create your own unique custom color.
For best results, apply Candy Colors over a Metallic Silver basecoat, as they have been specially formulated to enhance the final result. This 5oz Aerosol Can contains a urethane basecoat, ensuring a durable and long-lasting finish. The Candy Black color dries to a flat finish, but for that extra shine and protection, it is recommended to apply a 1K or 2K Clearcoat as a final finish.
You can find these Clearcoat options in our store as well. Not only do we offer the 5oz Aerosol Can, but the Candy Black color is also available in Pints, Quarts, Gallons, and even Touch up pens, making it easy to find the perfect quantity for your project. When it comes to application, we recommend following a 3 Stage color process. Start by prepping your project just like any other paint job - sanding, priming, and preparing the surface. Shake the Aerosol can for 3-5 minutes before applying 2-3 coats of the base coat color, allowing 10-15 minutes between coats.
Once the base coat is dry, it's time to apply the Candy color. Shake the Aerosol can again for 3-5 minutes and apply 2-5 coats of the Candy Black color, depending on the desired intensity. Leave 10-15 minutes between coats and ensure it is fully flashed off before proceeding.
Lastly, wait for 60 minutes before applying a 1K or 2K Clearcoat for that show winning finish.
