Polylok Catches Editorial Review
The Polylok 12" Round Catch Basin is a reliable and sturdy product for effective drainage. It comes with a green "grate" shown, four stabilizing feet, and two seals. With a weight rating of 600 lbs, it can withstand heavy outdoor usage. However, it can only hold 4 gallons of water without overflowing if no outlet is used. This basin could potentially serve as a small dry well for standing water when buried and placed on a gravel footing with some gravel inside without using the junction cut-out. If you are looking for a basin with a lid rather than a grate, you need to search for the Polylok 12" round distribution box instead of the catch basin. The company offers a similar build 12"x12" square catch basin, part number PDB-12G- BK (Black Grate) or PDB-12G-GN (Green Grate), that will accept 6" pipe.
