They are stretchy and can be squeezed around spools of ribbon, and they are similar to florist nets. They expand up to 9 inches for larger cones of thread. Customers have found these Handy Nets to be great for keeping thread from unraveling and holding their center pull yarn balls together. Some customers have also found them helpful for larger cones of embroidery thread, however, they are too small for the gargantuan Aurifil cones. However, some customers found them a bit short and lacking strength for controlling skeins of yarn, and others found that the product wouldn't stay on the thread. Overall, the Handy Nets are a useful tool for quilters and thread enthusiasts looking for a solution to keep their threads organised.
