The automatic feeder has been criticized for its unreliability. Many people have reported that it dispenses food in unpredictable portions and the dispenser often needs reprogramming. One customer has lost weight while others have gained weight due to an irregular feeding pattern. Cats feed unforgivingly on this system and often ruin the whole thing. More than one customer has reported that the bowl snaps too easily and the food is easily accessible to ants and cockroaches. While most of the customers seem to have had bad experiences, some of them highly praise the feeder. They found the feeder to be useful for a dog who cried for food when they were away, and they have reported that it fits small dog food with no issues. It was said to be reliable and helpful to have when one has irregular hours.
