This battery disconnect switch is a popular option for those looking to cut power in emergency or racing situations. The switch has two small terminals that can be used to cut off a smaller load in addition to power, and can be mounted anywhere although distance from the battery can affect protection from incidental shorting. The switch is built well with a metal Construction and positive click when used, and is easy to install and wire up. However, the metal side that displays "on" and "off" can bend and not be flattened again. It can handle up to 24 volts but only for low amperage applications. Some reviewers used the switch for motor vehicles and boats and found it to be sturdy and reliable. As with any disconnect switch, remember to avoid switching while under load.
