Bernette Sewing Machines Bernette B35_SML Editorial Review
The Bernette 35 Swiss Design Sewing Machine has received mixed reviews from customers. One customer praises the machine for its ability to handle thicker and tougher materials such as burlap and flannel. They also appreciate how smooth it runs. However, they complain about the machine being made of plastic and not being as heavy as metal models. Additionally, they find the cord too short and the foot switch awkwardly placed. Another customer found it perfect for teaching children how to dress themselves, but the needle threader broke after a month and the replacement was on indefinite backorder. Another buyer had an issue with the machine being too noisy and not being able to sew over multiple layers of fabric. Another positive review notes the ease of use and Consistency of stitch size, they have been sewing for 60 years. The set up required them to read the manual carefully. One reviewer recommends buying a Bernette walking foot, and comments on the machine's plastic build and absence of a hard case. **
