Sensaphone Sentinel Ethernet Option The Sensaphone Sentinel Ethernet Option is a monitoring system that allows individuals to receive alerts via text, email, and phone call. The device can be connected to the internet or opted for cellular connectivity as well. An optional subscription to the cloud service can provide additional features such as calling telephone numbers during alarm conditions. The Sentinel has backup power, but in case of power outage, the Ethernet Switch, router, and modem require backup power to send alerts. The device requires a temp sensor accessory to monitor temperature set points. The relay output of the device can be used for remotely triggering switches or alarms and can be used with certain types of thermostats to alternate between the two set points. The monthly cost for premium service in the ethernet model is $6.
