The optical quality is close to perfect, and this line of eyepieces allows you to similarly frame a DSO like a cluster or a galaxy at 2X the magnification that you'd get using a Plossl. It is the best long focal length mass-produced eyepiece ever made and is totally worth the money spent. However, there are a few Cons to be kept in mind while purchasing this product. One of the most significant disadvantages is the gargantuan weight of ~ 2.2 lbs. Make sure that your focuser is able to handle the weight, and you may have to upgrade focusers to prevent the eyepiece from slipping when focusing at targets close to the horizon. Another point to Consider is its utility, which may not be suitable for appreciating smaller objects. Customers should Consider pairing this eyepiece with shorter focal length eyepieces like a full set of the 13mm, 8mm, and 6mm Ethos that complement this eyepiece nicely.
