The device is in English, making it easy for children as young as five years to use it. A user stated that the device is a 90s model style (pre-connection), and the feature of marriage is not included; instead, when the Tamagotchi becomes an elder, it dies, and a new egg can be raised again by holding A&C buttons together. The batteries are replaceable, and the device does not have an infrared connection.
