The serum is meant to be used as a base coat for nail polish, but it does not provide the same effect as a clear polish. Additionally, customers have reported that using the serum as a base coat actually causes their nail polish to chip and peel more quickly. Although, some have reported success in using the product in conjunction with polish as well.
