The Melissa & Doug Deluxe Magic Set is a fun and sturdy toy that will delight children and adult audience alike. While some of the pieces might be difficult for younger children to handle, the set is perfect for children 8 years old and above. The set comes with a short wand w/ a red scarf attached for a trick but not an official magic wand.On the downside, some customers have complained about the lack of instructions which makes it difficult for them to learn how to do the tricks without having to rely on Youtube or other sources. Others have had issues with some of the pieces of the set failing to perform as expected, such as the difficulty in getting the number guessing trick to work correctly. Nevertheless, the set is a great gift for children who love magic and want to learn how to perform tricks on their own.
