FantasticLand: A Novel Hardcover October 11, 2016

Fantasticland is a novel about a devastating hurricane that traps amusement park employees in onsite shelters. The book is written in an interview style with multiple characters contributing to it. The story evolves as multiple isolated incidents lead to killings, fear and the formation of groups to fight for survival. The novel has a unique concept and slowly unfolds to horror, which might take few chapters to hook you onto it but once it does, it grips you till the end. It's a graphic depiction of gore and violence, so readers who are not fond of that should not pick it up. The book left some readers wanting more and they loved the abandoned amusement park vibe. The writing style was appreciated by some but some readers thought it was monotonous and didn't distinguish the characters well. The readers who loved Lord of the Flies, World War Z would enjoy Fantasticland too. There were some complaints about the typos in the book. But overall, it was enjoyed by most of the readers who finished it within a short period.
