About This Item
Introducing the 14 Closed Cell Backer Rod, your solution to sealing expansion and contraction joints like a pro! Our product is the perfect bond breaker to limit the depth of sealants, which prolongs their life. It is chemically inert, which means it is compatible with virtually all known cold sealants. Our Backer Rod is made of closed cell polyethylene foam that is compression-resistant, non-absorbent, and non-exuding.
It is also non-gassing and virtually dust-free. Moreover, it meets all the requirements of the 1990 Clean Air Act and is a Domestic End product as defined by the Buy American Act, Title 41 USC 10. Our handy pack of 14-inch Backer Rod comes with 2000 feet of the product that meets ASTM C1330, ASTM D5249 measurements.
The rod is available in multiple diameters and lengths to fit your needs. Installation and Joint Preparation is a piece of cake with our product. Clean all joints, remove any foreign materials and ensure a dry and clean surface before application.
