The Chauvet DJ B550 Bubble King Bubble Machine is a product that performs as advertised. It produces thousands of bubbles per minute with inexpensive store brand bubble solution. Home-made recipes are less effective and create too much foam at the machine's mouth, resulting in fewer bubbles per minute. The machine requires a minimum of 1 litre of fluid to produce bubbles, and the troff can be elevated with cardboard. Unfortunately, the lack of included means to "raise the hood" is disappointing as the unit does not remain open without propping it up with a stick. The machine is easy to use, but the tray to hold the bubble juice cannot be removed for cleaning, requiring the entire machine to be hosed down. This might not be practical when the machine is used at a venue. Overall, the machine is well-suited to its purpose, performs well and achieves the desired results.
