The kit can clean lug nuts on the wheel hub without causing any scratches. However, it is not recommended for cleaning or resurfacing brake calipers. The kit's stud diameter is 1/2" or 12.7mm and can handle a stud length of 3.5 inches or 88.9mm (with possible variation of 1/16 of an inch). Replacement heads are not available for the kit.
