The MXL Condenser Microphone, XLR (Revelation Mini FET) is a great value for its sound quality. It has a boosted low and high end, making it bright but not thin. The mic is easy to EQ and handles sibilance well. Users have found it warm and elegant for vocals and are pleased with its dB intake adjuster knob for recording instruments like acoustic guitars. A reviewer owns five of the first-generation tube-powered microphones from MXL and found this FET model to be a great addition to his collection. The mic sounds natural and smooth, with rich proximity effect and a big sound. The MXL microphone's metalwork and finish are beautiful and the mic has a solid feel in hand, but the shock mount could be of better quality. The microphone comes in a heavy-duty, compact carrying case.
