Estes Model Rockets Editorial Review

The Rascal/Hijinks Launch Set offers a great introduction to rocketry for children and adults alike with easy construction and simplicity in use. According to customer reviews, assembling the rockets and using them is fun and nostalgic. However, you will have to purchase engines separately along with recovery wadding. The launch system included requires a 9-volt battery to function. The rocket motors come in 3 sizes, but it's recommended to start out with a smaller size to avoid overestimating altitudes or losses. These rockets are reusable, but a new engine is necessary each time. The customer service for Estes seems to be responsive and helpful.
