Are these made out of better quality than the e-series?

I’m not familiar with the E Series, however I will tell you this- these are well made and sound phenomenal! I can block out everything in my noisy household with these- pisses my wife off to no end. Money well spent.

Do this have bass boost?

Our JBL LIVE 500BT does not have a Bass boost function but you may download the JBL Headphones App and use the custom EQ settings and adjust the bass to your preference.

Do these require power to use or can you use the 3.5mm cord as a back up when power dies? Do you have to have power to use with cord?

The power is only needed when using Bluetooth.

Yes, the mic feature is compatible with PC gaming software.

Can you use these headphone with your PS4?

Yes. With the provided cord. Not wireless.

What is the difference between "Live" and "Tune"?

Lives have a better body build, clearer sound between levels of bass and midtones, better mic.

I dont use blue tooth. i just want to hook these to my p.c. via the usb. it will do that right?

It comes with a headphone jack. The USB is for charging only.

Does the microphone with the cable work?

Your laptop should have a 3.5mm input that has the combined mic and sound output in order for the mic to work. If the mic input is separate, you have to get a splitter to split the audio and mic function.

Can you use these to exercise with?

Yes, you can exercise with them on but note that they are quite large. Although these are great headphones, you might be better selecting slimmer headphones.
