Unlike other bookbinding kits, no battery is required to operate it. The kit is suitable for bookbinders who want to make journals or scrapbooks, and it allows you to punch the holes in easy and space how wide you want the holes. One reviewer recommended using dry erase markers to note the holes, which made it much faster to make several books in one day. The screw and thread on the kit are, unfortunately, made of plastic, which wears out over time. The bolts on the two pieces holding it together could also be slightly longer to allow signatures to slide through more quickly.
