FERTAN 22620 Rust Converter is a German-made rust converter that effectively turns rusted surfaces into a hard, black finish without much effort. This product is versatile in that it can be applied to different types of iron surfaces, including raw iron. FERTAN Rust Converter can be diluted with water and can cover a car's floor with no problem. Before application, it's recommended that the surface be sandblasted and washed with water to remove all flaky rust and debris. Two or more coats of the converter are recommended for the best results. The rusty surface will become tacky but will dry to a paint-like surface within two days. It's essential to wait until it's entirely dry before priming the surface. FERTAN Rust Converter is effective in managing the weather and keeping rust from re-occurring on the surface it was applied to. This product comes in a 1 L container with no published shelf life.
