Answer: Go to rockauto dot com to verify fitment with your vehicle specs. Several are interchangeable but this would be a way to double check. -
Question:
This sensor triggers the electric fan?
Answer: On my 1988 f150 the truck would not idle and would stall when put in gear until I replaced it. My truck does not have an electric fan. -

Is this for the gauge inside the odometer
Answer: No, this senses the temperature of the engine coolant so it can tell the computer what fuel mixture your engine needs to run efficiently (or at all). -
Question:
At what temperature does it close the circut ? Need one to trigger overheat alarm
Answer: It is a “thermometer” type sensor. It reads constant A/F temp for PCM to regulate fuel mixture. Not an “open and closed” switch like for an electric can set up.
