It is wired as a slave reader and works both as a card and fob reader, as well as a keypad. The product looks slick and professional, is easy to program, and is waterproof. However, the instructions and schematics do not align with the product, making it difficult to set up. Some defective units did not perform well, but these can be easily returned or refunded. The LED lights are on Constantly, but this can be remedied by taking apart the keypad and painting the LED bulbs with JB quick weld.
