The Mail Boss 7506 is a high-quality mailbox that is suitable for mounting on a 4x4 post, stone post or wooden post. The mailbox comes with 4 lag bolts, pre-drilled holes in the floor of the box, and a floor cover to keep moisture and debris from the mail. It doesn't come with a fast-track mounting system, and some purchasers had to buy mounting materials, cut, drill, paint, and install them separately. However, the mailbox is durable, has several screw holes pre-drilled in the bottom mounting plane, and takes about 30-45 minutes to install. The keys are unique, and there are 1,000 possible combinations that are sold randomly although the box needs to be registered for key information retrieval in case of loss. The mailbox doesn't come with an adaptor plate, but it can be mounted virtually on any mounting configuration. The mailbox is sturdy and easily accessible, but the door does not close automatically nor is it spring-loaded to keep it closed so it will remain open unless closed. The mailbox is a secure and theft-proof, which makes it ideal for busy streets and theft-prone areas, as it comes with 6 extra keys and a secure key that's hard to pick. The mailbox is a great value for the price, very solid and durable, big, and able to handle various sizes of mail, including small-sized envelopes that fit into the outgoing mail clip. However, the larger-sized model (7106) is ideal for those who don't pick up their mail for an extended period. Some users had to mount the mailbox on a post, while others bought a metal post that goes with the mailbox. The mailbox is heavy, and concrete is necessary to support it. Many customers have had a great experience with this mailbox, as it has prevented theft of their mail, is very sturdy, and withstands vehicular impact with ease.
