The kit works to correct overdrive clutch chatter, raises fluid pressure to clutch packs, and solves the problem of a valve that can stick allowing transmission fluid to the radiator to be cooled. This Skift Kit works well for Ford/Lincoln Mercury 5R55W/S and 5R55N transmissions from 1999-2010. The kit includes a better design no-noise Pump Flow Control Valve assembly, upgraded Steel TCC/Lockup valve assembly and pump alignment tool. Replacing other valves and springs in the valve body went smoothly. The installation instruction is user friendly and you can easily follow the instructions. Customers found that this kit works great and solved their problems. One review claimed the transmission worked better than it had in the 11 years he had owned the vehicle. Kit also contains several springs located throughout the valve body that cause no or slow reverse and loss of or non-operation of various forward gear ranges.
