CTA Tools 7639 Ford Valve Spring Compressor
The CTA Tools 7639 Ford Valve Spring Compressor has garnered a positive reception among customers, particularly for its affordability and functionality. Users appreciate that it offers an effective solution for valve spring compression, especially when performing tasks related to Ford's 3-valve engines. Many reviews acknowledge that the tool performs well and eliminates the need for more expensive alternatives, which can surpass $100. Several users highlighted that the key to success with this tool lies in understanding its operation and ensuring proper alignment during use. Some reviews suggest that negative experiences often stemmed from users not applying basic tool-using skills, hinting that a little patience and practice can yield excellent results. The compressor is praised for efficiently handling the removal and installation of rocker arms, making it a valuable companion for anyone tackling Ford engine jobs, particularly on the F-150 models. However, there are caveats worth mentioning. The product has limited range of motion, which can complicate certain tasks, such as compressing springs after the keepers are removed. This limitation has led some users to recommend supplementary tools for these more complex jobs. Additionally, it's worth noting that while the tool is well-suited for specific engine types, it's not universally compatible across all Ford engines, which could be a downside for those with varied vehicles. In conclusion, the CTA Tools 7639 Ford Valve Spring Compressor stands out as a reliable and budget-friendly choice for DIY enthusiasts and mechanics who frequently work on Ford's 3-valve engines. **
