Answer: There is something in the middle, and a little glue is included for better fix on the wall. -

Answer: It looks like you can, there are tabs on the back that are similar to a picture frame. Not completely sure what you will find if you open it up. You may have to break the mirror to remove it, but the frame is separate. Hope that helps. -
